Dog saves Clarksville man from snake
A 70-year old farmhand was saved from a potentially dangerous snake encounter by his pet labrador. Darrell Layne found himself face-to-face with a venomous copperhead snake as he was opening a cattle gate on his way to work. Luckily, his five-year old dog Onex was nearby to distract the snake while Layne picked up a broken fence post to kill the intruder.
