Service dogs: Eli Lilly studying how canines sniff out diabetic attacks

Drug maker Eli Lilly and Co. is conducting a study on the sensitivity of dogs to low-blood sugar condition in diabetics. The drug maker said that it is studying if the dogs’ sensitivity to low blood sugar condition is triggered by small changes in the body chemistry of diabetics and how lives of diabetic patients are affected by having such dogs.
