Maryland Court Considers Removing Breed-Specific Legislation Against Pit Bulls
The Senate Judicial Proceeding Committee of the State of Maryland is reviewing current legislation that puts owners of certain dog breeds at greater liability. Owners of pit bull dogs are currently more liable should their pets be involved in any biting, accidental or otherwise. Many animal rights groups have protested the ruling, which has led to the Maryland Courts deliberating over whether or not to reverse this law.
